CRAMER CENTER NATIONAL BOOK AWARDS FOR DESIGN AND INNOVATION
The Cramer Center National Book Awards for Design and Innovation will be awarded for the first time in 2025. Merit titles will be awarded for printed works in the following categories:
- Design firm monograph
- Business of design
- Professional practice and innovation
- Environment and sustainability
- Historic preservation
NSU RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
The NSU Research Fellowship program encourages Northern State faculty to lead students research projects using the Cramer Center’s print collection.
STUDENT ASSISTANT PROGRAM
The Student Assistant Program integrates an NSU student into Center operations and provides the opportunity to expand skills in communication, technology, and management.
WIGHT & COMPANY + CRAMER CENTER INTERNSHIP
NSU students in a variety of majors will participate in an internship program at Wight & Company in Chicago, Illinois. These internships provide skill development and exploration along with long-lasting career connections. Click Here
BOARD MEMBERS
Cramer Center Board members are active in a variety of projects to benefit the community of Aberdeen and the surrounding region. These efforts are intended to encourage the NSU and Aberdeen communities to envision and pursue their joint future.
The Cramer Center Board has been exploring a vision for a cleaner, healthier creek as a source of community pride and connection. Guided by the leadership of Board Member Phillip Enquist and developed with contributions from other experts, the resulting report outlines a path forward grounded in the shared belief that a restored creek can benefit both the environment and the community. CRAMER CENTER WHITE PAPER SERIES
The Cramer Center White Paper Series publishes occasional reports exploring timely issues and emerging ideas in architecture and design. Each publication brings together research, case studies, and expert perspectives to spark dialogue and inspire innovation across the field.
